Each new freshman and transfer student will receive a 1 GB flash drive, as pictured below. The flash drive will be loaded with interactive software  that will allow the students to view the flyers submitted by supporters of the project.

Interactive Environment

When plugged-in, a user interface will appear to allow access to the information submitted by organizations, departments and the community.  Students have designed an interactive screen from which the users will be able to select the "book" they wish to view.  The books will be dived into four key areas: campus organizations, departments, local businesses, and a New Student Guidebook. When selected, the book will open and allow students to flip through the pages of your advertisements.  We feel that the new format in which the information is organized and being presented will limit the amount of information overlooked by students.

The Game

To help insure students are looking over the material and do not miss important information, we have created a game that correlates to the pages in each "book".  This game will be a questionnaire asking multiple choice questions relating to each flyer.   As the students take the questionnaire they will receive a score based on the number of questions answered correctly.  Each student will be entered into a drawing for prizes based on the number of questions answered correctly. Prizes will include: a flat panel TV, gift certificates to local businesses, Missouri S&T spirit wear and others.
