Academic Advising

Academic Advising is crucial for determining your first semester of classes. Please see below for important steps as  you complete advising and enroll for your first semester at Missouri S&T. 

Activate your Joe'SS account and Missouri S&T email address at your earliest convenience.

INSTRUCTIONS

Review your Transfer Credit Report and Degree Audit Report on your Joe'SS account.

Joe'SS

If you are pursuing a second bachelor's degree, there is Second Bachelors Program of Study that must be completed with your advisor and submitted with appropriate signature.

2nd BS Form 

Math Placement Tests are required for all transfer students unless a Calculus II course equivalent to S&T's Math 1215 has been successfully completed, an ACT math score of 28 or higher has been achieved, or all required math courses for your degree program have been completed.

Schedule Planner is a tool for students and advisors to use during advising and registration. For instructions and helpful hints to assist you with registration, please review the Schedule Planner website and handout.

SCHEDULE PLANNER

In-person Advising & Registration: You will meet with an academic advisor face to face and register for courses while on-campus for your A&R Day.

Virtual Advising & Registration: An academic advisor will contact you to schedule your advising appointment. Please contact the New Student Programs team if you have questions at 573-341-4025 or pro@mst.edu. For your academic advising appointment, you will want to be on a computer and connected to the internet, so that you can utilize both Schedule Planner and Joe'SS.
